Monument Terrace Veteran’s Vigil on Christmas Day

Christmas is on a Friday this year and as we are sure you are aware, each Friday veterans and other supporters of the troops meet at Monument Terrace in downtown Lynchburg from 12-1pm. Even though it’s Christmas, we assume they will still meet, just maybe not in the numbers that they usually do, and that can be anywhere from 20-40 people. Many of these vigil participants were present at our September 17, Constitution Day Tea Party sitting in one of the front rows.

Christmas Day is a busy day, but what kind of exceptional message could we send to our veterans and active military men, women, and families by coming out for an hour on Christmas Day to honor them? Please consider fitting this into your schedule. You are guaranteed to meet someone extraordinary, and have conversation with some of our truest patriots, the service people of the military. Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Sincerely,
Dana Hale and Paige Craft

Thanks for posting this Dana! I hope everyone who can make it, does… what better day to show our appreciation for the sacrifices of our brave men and women, who won’t be home for Christmas, as well as those that have been at Monument Terrace every Friday for the last 8+ years!

    MERRY CHRISTMAS!
