Closing remarks

The poster contest will be held during our intermission. The theme is, “What Does Your Bumper Sticker Say?” Show us on your sign or poster what your political message, gripe, grief, or message of hope says. Refrain from vulgar or lewd messages, pictures, or language. Winners will be chosen by our secret judges and prizes will be awarded! Please, no signs or posters on poles or sticks as they are against Lynchburg City ordinances.

Food will be available at the event in case you want to have dinner. Vito’s Pizza will be serving cheese or pepperoni pizza for $2/slice, and bottled water and sodas for $1 each.  Canteen Dining will also be a selling pork barbecue sandwiches $3, grilled chicken sandwiches $3, chili cheese hotdogs $1.50, chips $1, canned drinks $1, bottled water $1.50, and cookies $.75.  This is not a fundraiser for our Tea Party, only our efforts to try and help support local area businesses in these tough economic times. Restrooms are available onsite.

T-shirts will also be available at the event at the cost of $10.

During the event we will be collecting canned food items as a part of a food drive. Again, this is our way of trying to give back to our community and help meet the needs of those who are struggling in this tough economic time. We intend for the proceeds to go to a charity that doesn’t accept government funding.

The inside of the Aviary will be used for vendors and 5th and 6th district Congressional campaigns to set up information table. If you are part of an organization that may be interested in having an information table at our event, please send contact Dana at help@lynchburgteaparty.com
