After consideration of the issue by the Temporary Executive Committee of the Lynchburg Tea Party, in the interest of consistency and fairness to all candidates in Virginia’s 5th Congressional District race as well as to the members of the Lynchburg Tea Party, the Lynchburg Tea Party makes the following correction to its August 31, 2010, press release regarding the September 2, 2010, monthly meeting:
The September 2, 2010, monthly meeting of the Lynchburg Tea Party, at which it is expected Congressman Perriello will make an address and take questions, will be closed to all members of the press. Additionally, there will be no recording devices allowed, including any form of audio and/or video recording devices, without the express permission of the Lynchburg Tea Party. This is a private meeting for those involved with the Lynchburg Tea Party, invited guests and a limited number of visitors. No other candidates, campaign staff, or party workers will be permitted. As before, this same courtesy will be extended to any other candidate who has been invited to address the Lynchburg Tea Party this campaign season.
