Join us at George Caylor’s next Saturday Oct. 29th for a phone banking party to officially make VA a “Right to Work” state.   The LTP is co-sponsoring this important event with Americans for Prosperity.

Did you know our Governor can now allow Unions to force you to join their Union or loose your job?  We can stop that on Nov. 8th by voting YES to ballot Question 1 that amends VA’s constitution to prohibit the Unions from forcing membership.  Question 1 isn’t easy to decipher but when people understand it, they support it!

The phone banking will be easy and you don’t have to use your own phone.  Come for an hour if that’s what you can spare.  See the details below.

Right to Work” Event at George Caylor’s

YOU’RE INVITED to our event Saturday, October 29, when we’ll be helping with the effort to approve the Right to Work amendment to our state constitution.

Americans for Prosperity Virginia is partnering with the Workplace Freedom Committee and the Lynchburg Tea Party on this effort to get the word out about the proposed constitutional amendment, which will be on the Nov. 8 ballot in Virginia, and encourage Virginians to vote in favor of the Right to Work, which protects the right of individuals to accept a job and keep working without joining a union.

This will be a social gathering and phone-banking event at George Caylor’s house from 1-5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29; food and soft drinks will be provided.

George’s address:  2460 Rivermont Ave, Lynchburg, VA 24503

We’ll have several iPads and headsets provided by AFP that we will use for calling. If you’d like, you may bring your smartphone, tablet, or laptop to use (and headset if you have one).

Finally, I ask that if you plan on coming, please RSVP so I can get a rough head count on food and create a login for you to access the system. Also, please let me know what time frame you plan on being there (for example: 1-5 p.m., 1-3 p.m., 2-4 p.m., 3-5 p.m., etc.) so I can make sure I have enough iPads for everyone to use.

We at AFP are looking forward to a continued partnership with the Lynchburg Tea Party on policy issues in Virginia, and offering our resources as appropriate in support of major local policy fights. Keep an eye out for my e-mails because they’re always going to be about upcoming (typically free) events and/or specific opportunities for action.

Republican Party of Bedford Committee meeting.

Gen. William G. “Jerry” Boykin will be speaking to the Republican Party of Bedford Unit Committee at Brookhill Wesleyan Church, Cifax Road, Forest, Virginia on Monday, October 17th.  Our meeting will start at 6:00 p.m., General Boykin will speak at 7. The official call was sent out last week. Christian liberties in America are under direct assault by those who are determined to silence Bible believing Christians and remove all public and private associations to the God of the Bible except during Sunday morning worship services. General Boykin was one of the original members of the U.S. Army’s Delta Force. He was privileged to ultimately command these elite warriors in combat operations. Later, Jerry Boykin commanded all the Army’s Green Berets as well as the Special Warfare Center and School. Gen. Boykin is a pastor, a Professor at Hampden-Sydney College, and serves as Executive VP for the Family Research Council in Washington DC.  Don’t miss this evening with a true America hero. The event is free and open to the public. The Republican Party of Bedford is sponsoring this event. The meeting was originally scheduled for October 20 but was moved to the 17th to fit with General Boykin’s schedule. We have important business related to the campaign to conduct prior to General Boykin’s remarks, please plan to be with us! Looking forward to seeing you on the 17th, Nate Boyer, Chairman.

This is our regular October meeting, Please don’t miss it!
