Tom Garrett Meet and Greet
Friday April 8th

Dear LTP Patriots,

George is having a fundraiser for Tom Garrett who is currently our state senator, but who would like to replace retiring Robert Hurt our current House Representative for District 5 which is about 1/2 of you. Those of us from District 6 under Bob Goodlatte will miss you Tom, but we know you will do a good job. If you would like to support State Senator Garrett’s run for the House of Representatives you can do so by going to George’s Meet and Greet next Friday April 8. All the information you need is shown below. Don’t forget you will need $50.00 and you will need to let George know you are coming so he knows how much food and drink to have on hand. Who to call, where to go is in the attachment above.

Next Thursday is our monthly LTP meeting at Lynchburg Memorial Library. I will send out an announcement with the night’s agenda early next week. All the political intrigue going on right now has gotten my nerves frazzled. Just remember who benefits from all the republican infighting: HILLARY!!! and in a perfect world she would be on her way to prison. That would be the USA we used to know and want back. That’s what we should focus on. Call me or email me 434-277-9036

God Bless us all, Renée DeShane (Operations Chair)

The Bedford Board Of Supervisors is taking up the idea of spending an $6 MILLION dollars MORE on a school project that has already cost over $38,000,000

Here’s the agenda for Monday’s meeting, with documentation.

The resolution in question for the school funding starts on page 33.

Bedford County Board of Supervisors at work sessions held on the 25th of January and the 8th of
February 2016 as to plans and estimated cost for the proposed new middle school for the Liberty
High School attendance zone; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors feels that it is prudent that the proposed school be
constructed with attendance space and core space designed for 700 students; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors prefers the option with the proposed competition
gymnasium being located on the existing Liberty High School campus; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors would like to give direction to the School Board as
to the amounts that the Board is willing to fund and the amount it is willing to borrow.
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors passed a resolution on 22 June 2015 limiting the
total project cost to $38 million and a total borrow cost of $34 million which the Board desires to
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Bedford County Board of Supervisors is
willing to fund a total project cost not exceeding $44 million and a total borrow cost not
exceeding $40 million. This amount is approved with the understanding that that the proposed
school will be constructed with attendance space and core space designed for 700 students; and

Resolution # R022216-01
with the proposed competition gymnasium being located on the existing Liberty High School
FURTHER, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Bedford County Board of Supervisors rescinds its
previous resolution from 22 June 2015 limiting the total project cost to $38 million and a total
borrow cost of $34 million.

So next year will they “resolve” to spend even more if this passes? COUNT ON IT!!!
The meeting starts at 7pm. February 22, 2016
You should try to be there early (6:30) to get on the agenda for public comment.

People need to voice their opposition to this.

To do this you need to be there. Bring a friend. You can bet the spenders will be bringing theirs.

Federalism with Christians 4 Freedom Tuesday @ Liberty University

Dear LTP Patriots,

Something you may be interested in will take place this coming Tuesday evening at Liberty University. The on campus group, Christians 4 Freedom, will have a very special speaker everyone should know about. Nick will tell you below.

In His Service, Renée DeShane

Lynchburg Tea Party Members,

My name is Nick Hamilton, and I am the president of Christians 4 Freedom at Liberty University. I attended a Tea Party meeting a few months ago and really enjoyed it! It is hard to get to the meetings between events here at school, and being out of town.

I wanted to send you an email about an event this coming Tuesday that your members might be interested in. On February, 2nd at 7:00pm, we will be hosting the Madison Coalition here on campus in the Jerry Falwell Library. Roman Buhler will be our main speaker who is driving down from DC. Mr. Buhler attended Harvard, and Stanford. He has made it his mission to fight for the rights of individual states, and limit the power of the federal government.

To learn more about Mr. Buhler please click HERE.

I believe that our country is on the brink of no return. As a country we must go back and understand the principles that started our great nation, and the founding documents that have carried us this far. Our millennials believe that the Bill of Rights is outdated, and no longer important to the continued success of our great nation. We must change that in order for future generations to live free. Your support will greatly affect the impact we have here on campus. Students at LU are leaders for faith and freedom!

I hope to see you, and many of your members there! Thank you so much for playing an active role in making sure our country returns to the great principles we were founded on.

Location and time for Tuesdays event:

Jerry Falwell Library (Terrace Conference room)

  • Attendees can park in the Book Store parking lot, and walk directly towards the vine center. Before passing the Vines center, you need to take a right and walk between the fence and building. This will take you directly to the Library. Construction has taken over the campus.

The event will start at 7:00pm and is on February 2nd 2016.

Anyone is welcome to call me with any questions! 704-918-7329

for liberty and faith,

Nicholas Hamilton
